Church of England
The Church of England Deanery of Southern Ryedale has 44 churches in 9 benefices, served by 6 full time and 2 part time clergy and 3 lay readers. The Rural Dean is The Revd Quentin Wilson.

Roman Catholic
Roman Catholics are served by the church of St Leonard and St Mary in New Malton and its parish priest Father Tim Bywater.
Methodist
The Methodist Church in Southern Ryedale is part of the York and Hull District. The Malton Circuit stretches from Rillington in the East to Barton-le Willows in the West and comprises 11 churches. It has three ministers, 15 active local preachers and three lay workers.
The Superintendent Minister is the Revd Geoff Floyd (Tel: 01653 692173) and the Supernumerary Ministers are the Revd Graham Sellars (Tel: 01653 694689) and the Revd Mike Smith (01653 692544).
